gez I have been posting a lot of recipes lately. I made this one tonight for a dinner party for desert.
It's usually made for breakfast... my Mom makes them every Christmas but they are great for desert too.
Get 12-14 rhodes rolls
Place in bunt pan
Melt 1 stick of butter
Mix the melted butter with 3/4 c brown sugar & 1 tsp. cinnamon
Pour over top of rising roles
Put half a pack of butterscotch pudding jello mix (can't be instant) on top of sauce and rolls
Let rise for 4-5 hours
Put in oven for 30 min.
Enjoy! Sorry I don't post food pictures... I'm not a good enough photographer for that.

1 Tbl spoon mustard
1/4 tsp. salt

I served it with long grain wild rice roni ( i put fresh parsley and mushroom in with it) and a fresh salad... that boy needs veggies in his life.

apples and bargains
"this apple is from the garden of eden, you should blog about this"-dev
I am a produce freak. Here in Idaho.. the produce is terrible. It is a miracle that I some how picked out the most AMAZING apples we have ever HAD this week. Notice the apple is as big as my head and juicy and crunchy and lovely. Too bad I only bought 3.
excuse all the photobooth pictures.

i know i know i know.... I put too many dang quotes up. I just can't help it. It's a hobby... a tiny obsession... Mostly daily inspiration.
Got this one from one of my closest and sweetest friends Jamie, its now a very favorite.
"Our character is basically a composite of our habits. Because they are consistent, often unconscious patterns, they constantly, daily, express our character. Develop good habits. Nothing is stronger than habit."

loved
since it is the week of love...
A story. Since I was a little girl my mom, dad, and grandparents both spoiled my sisters and I on valentines day. My mom would always give us some kind of goodies... treats, gift cards, socks, a shirt and of course a card. Sometimes dad would give us flowers. Sometimes even send them to us at school.. thats when I felt really cool. My grandparents (both sides) also would send a sweet card and always always goodies with.
My family always has tradition that there must be a candy dish out at all times of the year... during holidays, duh holiday candy in a holiday bowl.
Dev and I got a sweet little package filled with a valentine bowl and candies to fill it. Not only that but a hefty check for way to much mula from my sweet mom.
My valentines were always special growing up because my family showed a little love with sweet gifts.
Happy love week!
( these pictures are old... fyi)

dodge ball & yoga
At BYUI they offer so many fun things to do. Devin and his friends got together and made a dodge ball team and play against other teams every weekend. This weekend they dominated and the opposing team forfeited (spelling?) after losing so many times. They all wear Sonics Jerseys and I have one too so I represent. I'm not biased or anything... but my boy is GOOD at this game. Some of my good friends came to watch too since their husbands/boy friends also play on the team (ill get a pic of us next time)
... have you ever done yoga? I know everyone talks about it... but really now I know why. The school offers yoga for beginner/pregnancy/ and advanced . I have started taking classes now and next week will also start to take some work out classes. I LOVE IT. Dev and I try to work out 5 times a week and I am excited to get more into these other classes rather than just go to the gym. What kind of things do you do to stay fit??

quote junkie
When Dev and I were cheesy lovers (I think we still are) back when we dated, we would always send each other little quotes for the day. I was looking through them and found this one.... who else loves this quote as much as I do?
"I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I won't look back, let up, slow down, or be still. I no longer need pre-eminence, positions, promotions, or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk with patience, am uplifted by prayer, and labor with power. My face is set, my gate is fast, my goal is heaven. My road is narrow, my way is rough. My companions are few, my guide is reliable, my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, divided, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won't give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, and paid for the cause of Christ. I must go till He comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me, and when He returns for His own, He will have no problem recognizing me, my banner will be clear-- Henry B. Eyring

It's the month of LOVE! Give lots of kisses and hugs!
We went to Austin's funeral this past weekend in Utah. Although it was so sad to see such a loving friend die too soon, his funeral was an unexpected learning experience. The things said at the funeral inspired me. The time is now to to cherish, embrace, take advantage of all that I am and can become. My views on life have changed.
