This past weekend has been a difficult one for me. We drove to Idaho to attend my Grandpa's funeral. My grandpa was still so young, only 71. He passed away from liver cancer. He was exposed to radiation at his job when he was very young. The radiation caused cancer and took his life too quickly.

I spoke at his funeral and Devin was a pall bearer. I had a few really special experiences while we were there that has increased my testimony and spirituality of the afterlife and the love my grandpa has for me.
My heart breaks for my family but mostly for my grandma. I am grateful for the time I had with my grandpa and I know that I will see him again one day.

Chloe got to meet my grandpa for the first time this past July. It was the last time I saw him and I am forever grateful he got to meet my Chloe.
I dreaded driving 13 hours with her but she did SO good. We awarded her with play places and yummy food along the way.
I thought his casket was so beautiful and he rests in a quaint cemetery next to his parents.
Devin was able to know my grandpa really well and felt like he was always one of his grandchildren from the moment he met him. I am grateful that he knew him so well because it has helped me through this process of losing him.
It is a sad time for my family and I miss him every day. I have learned a lot from this experience and grateful for forever families.
