A ruby

One year for Christmas when I was in my teens, my mom gave my sister and I each a box. Enclosed a ruby ring for both of us to wear.
As we began to put on the rings, my mom explained to us the symbolism behind her giving each of us a ruby ring.
"She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her."-
Proverbs 3:15-18
I learned a very valuable lesson that day. Every daughter of God is more precious than rubies. I am thankful for a mom who loves me unconditionally, teaches me valuable lessons, and reminds me that I am loved and worth so much more then I will ever know.
Happy Mother's Day.
