I noticed that every now and then, or if we moved my mom would always take photos of our home. I always questioned her reasoning, and even thought what a waist of film! Now that I am older and have our own home I want to take photos of our home too. It's good to remember your old homes and what they used to look like. I am glad she took those photos years ago because now the parts my memory doesn't pick up, the photos do. So I took a few shots of bits and pieces around our home so we can remember once we have moved on to another place.

The snow has shut down what feels like all of Seattle this past week. Lucky for us this seems normal after living in Idaho the past two winters. For Christmas Devin got a new lens for our camera so today we went out and tested it. We had fun exploring but my lips felt like they were going to fall off so we trenched through the snow back home and had some carmel hot chocolate.

My mom used to have this quote on our fridge...words I think she really has lived by. Since Devin and I have been married, I surprisingly have taken that reminder on my mom's fridge and really tried to live by it too.

After almost 3 years of marriage we finally got our first couch (all we had were love sacs and a wicker chair)!! Looking back, I'm glad we didn't just blow our money and buy some random couch while we were at BYU and then lug it around wherever we moved to.

We finally found something we truly love (L shaped,modern, micro swede, from crate and barrel) AND we have a greater appreciation for our couch since we have been without one for so long!

Lucky for us it snowed this weekend. Everything in Washington shuts down when even an inch of snow falls, so church was cancelled and we lounged on our couch all day.

More and more frequently we had been creating prints for family and friends and so we were inspired to create our own shop for everyone. Currently we only have a few prints but we plan to add more as well as some photography Devin has done.

I have an odd obsession with making lists and goal setting so I love it when January comes around and everyone else loves it just as much as I do! If you have a hard time remembering and sticking with your goals through out the year, make a daily list of your to do's and include those goals you have made to keep on track through out the year that way you're reminded daily!

I always get a little sad when Christmas is over and a whole new year begins. I looked back at my journal exactly a year ago and couldn't believe how different our life was and how much has changed.

Devin and I are hoping for even more new things and changes in store for us 2012.

Devin is the kinda guy that always has to find the deals. I made the mistake of making him watch the Today show and one of my favorite segments Jill's Steals & Deals (please someone tell me you have seen this too). Anyway, a few days before Christmas we watched it and a deal game on for a $500 gift card for restaurant.com Dev was all over that deal, researched it out and bought it for only 30 bucks....2 of them.

Yesterday we thought we would try out one of the restaurants included in the deal. Little did Devin know that we have to spend 35$ worth of food to get the coupon each time.

Christmas Eve was spent at my Grandparents house with most of my extended family.

These 4 are so cute together. I wish I had 3 cousins around the same age as I was growing up, they have so much fun together.

We have a lot of fun traditions we do on Christmas Eve, one of them where my grandpa reads the birth of the Savior with candy names inserted into the text and all the cousins have to race to get the candy mentioned first.

My grandparents also made 2 quilts, one for the adults and one for the grand kids. We each put our name in a jar for the drawing to win one. Olivia won the grand kids quilt.

I have so much fun with my family and am grateful we were able to drive to Idaho to be with them this year. Being away from my mom for so long makes me realize how grateful I am for all she does and has done for me.

Devin's parents were able to drive down and since most of my extended family lives in Idaho they were all also able to come support him. After the graduation we had a party at my mom's house. She slaved away in the kitchen all day long to make lots of delicious treats that we ended up having left overs of for days. Thanks mom, love you!

The other night we went to Mountain River Ranch for a little Christmas fun. When you pull up there are a few little cabins, a camp fire, and a big cabin all lit up with lights and classic Christmas music blaring. We walked into the big cabin to check in and get some apple cider. Then we waited for the horses to pick us up.

Me and my sister Emma in front of one of the little cabins. We wore a million layers since it was in the low 20's that night.

Then we jumped on our sleigh ride that took us through some woods that had lights everywhere which lead us to another cabin. Inside we were served a steak dinner and performers played Christmas music.

We took the sleigh ride back to our cars and called it a night after ward. It was pretty magical and I'm so happy I finally got to take a sleigh ride!

We are so excited that Devin will be graduating in business management and minor in web development this Friday. Since we have been married Dev has been going to school year around....has not had one break...January through December at school for the past 2 1/2 years!! He was very very worn out to say the least.

He worked so hard and I am just so proud of him for plugging through so that we could graduate just a semester apart. Now he has finished his internship, and is working at Panasonic. He is very passionate and talented and I can't wait to see what the future holds for him.

I told Dev a few weeks ago I really wanted to go ice skating. Lucky for us his dad had some free tickets to ice skate in down town Bellevue!

This weekend we hung out with David and Ali and made sugar cookies..and attempted to frost them.

We are grateful we have them here, it makes us miss the old times with all of our friends together at school!

And today we have to say goodbye to Petey. My family dog who now lives with my dad. My highschool friends can attest that I dispised him then when he used to eat my lip gloss and underwear.

But I have grown to love him over the years. We have babysat him for 2 weeks (sneakily and against apt. rules) and now have become a little attached. In fact Dev is out taking him for a walk now.

For now he can go back to keeping my dad company but if we ever move out of an apartment we might adopt him!

In the morning I invited my sister Kate over to make apple pies and watch the Macy's day Parade. Last weekend we went to get some apples from a local apple business... only 60 cents a pd. and they are to die for. We knew we wanted to use them for our pies.
Dev played football while we baked away..luckily he arrived back home just in time to do the crusts. Don't ask me why, but that guy can make crusts..he he even added a C for Crandall.

Then we watched the movie The Dilemma..which was hilarious, I was laughing so hard. My dad is out of town so we are babysitting my old dog Petey. I think he has a crush on Dev.

Then we headed to Devin's grandmas beautiful home on the Kirkland waterfront for FOOD.

After we went to see the Twilight movie with my uncle, his girl friend, my sis, and her husband. And I don't care what anyone says I LOVED it, def best one out of the 3 in my opinion. Afterward we of course attempted to Black Friday shop. We were very disappointed in the sales this year and it wasn't half as fun without all of my crazy aunts to go with.

Overall we had a great day and much to be thankful for!

Devin and I took our Christmas photos this week and are working on creating our card now ( We are on the ball this year?!) I love that I can come up with a fun idea and then Dev can make it for me since he is photo/design savvy.

In creating our card and reflecting on the past 11 months, this year has been nothing short of BIG changes for us which at times was emotionally and physically draining. We have both grown a lot and I think that is what I am most thankful for...Devin and I's growth individually and as a couple.

New food

This weekend Dev and I got together with my uncle and his girlfriend (my uncle is practically my cousin because we are only 8 years apart)

We decided we need to explore the city more and try new restaurants. We got some recommendations from some friends drove around and finally decided on Serious Pie in Seattle.

You walk in and they take you upstairs where you are at the top of the building close to the ceiling. It was a very intimate setting and they make pizzas in a big fire oven right next to you.

These pizzas were not your ordinary kind. We got the rosemary and potato and sausage and pepper. They were DELISH

We also heard the spiced cider was a must...and it was!

Then for desert we decided to go to another place called Dilatante. We all ended up eating off of each others plates but Dev and I ordered the raspberry cheesecake!

Now that we have a whole list of new hidden places to eat, I can't wait to explore and try them out!

It doesn't come easily for everyone to determine their passions and what they want to do for a living. Dev has been on a long journey and continues on to find what he really feels destine to do in this life.

I admire that he finds it important to really seek out what it is rather then settle for something, I know that it will come through time and experience at other jobs. Him getting an internship at Panasonic has been a great blessing and I am glad that we can work as a team to find great opportunities together to support us...even if it takes a lot of dedicated time and patience!

This week he got hired at Panasonic and we are very thankful. And although Devin is still on his journey of finding what he loves to do, we are so blessed to have this opportunity now... especially in a city that sure ain't cheap!!!

I love you Dev and am very proud of you.

1 scoop of hot chocolate mix

1 TBL of pumpkin puree

I'm a list maker...and I mean serious list maker for anything and everything I do. The other day I made a list of fun goals for Dev and I for the month of November. One of them being baking pies together.

Ever since we have been married Dev ends up making the crust and I make the filling for our pies. So last night we put on some music and we baked. ...He is way good at those crusts let me tell you!

Being surrounded by electronics all day at work, it was such a refresher to just chat and create!

Also, UPS finally shipped me my new Nike Frees! My dad had gotten me a pair for my birthday but not the ones we wanted because they were all sold out, so we patiently waited and finally got these ones! I was so excited I put them on and made Devin take a pic. Can't wait to hit the gym in these babies, and or run errands.

Our second costume this Halloween: Sandy and Danny from Greece!

On Halloween we went out with friends to a DELISH Greek restaurant all dressed up and then to another fun Halloween party.

Also, my friend Brandi made the BEST pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting the other day. I attempted to remake them, and thought I would share the recipe!

Beat 4 eggs till foamy and add:
2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
1 - 15 oz. can pumpkin

Beat 2 minutes on medium speed then add the following (already combined in another bowl):
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon

Beat 1 minute on low speed. Pour into sprayed/greased jelly roll pan and bake @350 degrees for about 25 minutes.

Cream Cheese Frosting:
8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup butter
2 tsp. vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar
Cream butter, cream cheese and vanilla - then add powdered sugar.

Once cooled, frost. Keep refrigerated (they taste MUCH better this way!)

This Saturday Dev and I decided we needed to get out and do some fall fun traditions!
We first went to a pumpkin patch with my sister and her husband. The pumpkins were actually sooo expensive so we just explored, enjoyed the gorgeous day, and had fun chatting.

Kate told me not to post these photos because she didn't get ready for the day but helllooo..gotta blog em!

After the pumpkin patch, we went to an apple orchard. We bought a ton of apples for WAY cheap and sampled all different kinds of ciders which convinced us that we also had to buy some cider!

Later that night we invited our friends Ali and David over for carmeled apples. We forgot sticks so we made David and Devin go out and get sticks which ended up being super cute!

Hey everyone this is Devin (Becca's Husband) guest blogging today. Becca's all about the blog so i figured I would get on here and do a post for fun.

So the other day Becca was gone doing something and i didn't know what to do with myself for dinner. We recently bought some panda express orange chicken sauce from Costco. I decided to give it a try. It turned out good... so i took a picture knowing she would want to blog about it.

Fish!!

On a day off this past week I went out with Dane to the Snohomish River to catch some salmon. The salmon are running up the rivers right now to lay eggs and are jumping all over the place.

Nevermind me looking like Tom Sawer.. I had to jump in after my fish fell off my hook. I fit in with the rest of the red necks though.

I love finding simple and delish recipes. Here are 2 easy and simple snack ideas.

APPLE CHIPS:
Slice apples thinly. Put on cookie sheet with wax paper. Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Bake at 200 degrees for 2 hours.

BAKED CARROTS:
Place carrots on a cookie sheet on wax paper. Drizzle olive oil on top. Add garlic salt and pepper. Bake for 45-60 min. at 325.

I had a relaxing and fun birthday weekend. My sister took us to a Dutch bakery for breakfast. Then Dev and I went down town to pretend we were tourists and got a huge bouquet of flowers from the market, ate lunch, and shopped.

Sometimes I think we can lose site of who we really are. I especially get caught up in this when I am feeling physically insecure about the way I look- which I think every girl is guilty of.

I hope this weekend you will really embrace who you are...your wonderful character traits, your unique beauty, and most of all remembering you are a child of God. It's my 23rd birthday tomorrow and these last couple days I have really reflected on who I am now and how I can continue to strive to be my best self...even if I have some insecure days.

Healthy Dinner

If my mom offered me a salad or candy when I was younger... she would tell you I would have chosen salad. For some strange reason I have always been a healthy food lover. And I find that as I get older, it has almost turned into a hobby of mine- learning about other healthy foods and exercising.

My mother-inlaw gave me a recipe for Quinoa Burgers that Dev and I made the other day. We LOVED them. If you are into healthy recipes too, I highly suggest this easy and delish recipe.

I remember it was a perfect September day- my first day of Jr. High. A family friend picked me up from school and drove me to the hospital. Nervously, I opened the door to see my mom in the bed with my dad and sister at her side. Dad instructed me to whip out the video camera and Kate the camera. Mom was about to have a baby.

Shortly after, the most beautiful little being lay in my mom's arms. I couldn't believe it, she was my baby sister!

So much love was in the room I could hardly hold back tears, even at 13. The peace and love I felt together was completely overwhelming.

Although my parents are now no longer together, ten years later I still look back at that very moment as one of my fondest memories.

My family.. together... in love with the most beautiful little baby girl we had laid eyes on.

FALL! I was meant for this season, and probably because its my birthday month.

New seasons sometimes feel like new beginnings. Seeing all the back to school stuff at Target yesterday made me a little sad but I'll have you know I am very much enjoying my job and I am also pleased to announce....

Dev got an internship!!!

He will be starting September 12th at Panasonic Avionics. We are pretty excited and hope it will be a really great experience for him.

Next time it will be this guy's graduation come December!

Devin's dad got box suite tickets to watch the Seattle Sounders this past weekend. Soccer has always been my favorite sport to play so it was a lot of fun to finally get to watch our home team, not to mention being directly behind the goal and the free food!
My only complaint was that I was sweating like a pig as you can tell in the following picture with my rats nest of a hair...def one of the hottest days this summer in Seattle!

Summer Dinner

Sad to see summer coming to an end... although Fall is my very favorite season!

Dev and I made a delish summer dinner that I wanted to share- Caribbean Jerk pineapple cheese bbq chicken.

Defrost your chicken and marinate in a plastic baggy for a few hours.

Grill the chicken and when it is almost done, add a slice of provolone chese on top. Sautee some mushrooms and onions and grill a few slices of pineapple.

Last weekend we took a quick trip to Crescent Bar for Dev's family reunion.
It was fun to see Devin's brother Dustin and his fiance Melissa with our new niece Ella, I grew up with all sisters so I'm excited to have some more girls on Dev's side since they have 4 boys (the youngest brother is in Brazil).

A few months back I was watching the Food Network that aired a segment on a seafood restaurant here in Seattle. You order big buckets of kind crab, muscles, salmon, shrimp, potatoes, corn on the cob, all topped with a special seasoning, and then they just spill the bowl right on your table!

Dev's cousins were in town with their wives and they invited us to go to the Crab Pot! I was in seafood heaven...right on the water, with fun friends, and delicious food!

Hello? Anyone there? I swear we are alive...It's the adjustment to a whole new life that's been keeping me from blogging. I told Dev last night that I feel like I just can't adjust yet... like I'm on a bizarre vacation and waiting to go back to my little apartment in my little town when life was simple.

We finally moved into an apartment which we are still unpacking and I'm hoping over time will feel like it's ours...

Work is going great for me. I am enjoying learning from the people I work with and I know that this job is refining me and helping me to grow.

Dev and I took a break from all our hard work and went black berry picking on Sunday. It was nice to clear our minds and enjoy summer with some fresh yummy berries.

I am officially hired! I worked sooo hard to get here and I feel so blessed to start this new journey. This past month I interviewed what felt like a million times and eventually this week I was offered 3 jobs at 3 different companies!! It was one of the most difficult decisions I had to make but all along the job I ended up choosing was the one I had the best feeling about.

I am now a Jr. Act. Manager for Carpool, a small digital marketing agency in Seattle with some big clients...including HP and Microsoft. I'll be working from home but also meeting at the Microsoft buildings weekly. I'm intimidated but excited and I hope I can be an asset to Carpool.

We literally moved here Monday and I started my first day of work on Thursday.

We still haven't found a place to live and Dev is still in need of an internship. We are exhausted from the rush of everything and we hope things will work out for the best in the next couple weeks. Washington is an expensive place and apt. hunting is getting discouraging, say some prayers for us and hope we find something soon!

Taking a break from some major packing......

I don't know about you but I wish I had long beautiful dark lashes. For graduation, my friend Emily gave me some !

How it works? She takes each individual lash (only the top lashes) and glues a longer lash to it. They last 4-6 weeks and just naturally fall out when your lashes naturally fall out.

I havcn't worn mascara in 2 weeks!

The future.

The minute I graduated I feel like our world tipped upside down. This past week has been nothing short of insane. I may have had a few minor break downs along the way (and will have a few more) and am unsure as to how I have time to even type this.

I'm slowly coming to the realization that God doesn't always answer prayers the way you want them to. Sometimes you have to make a choice, and then talk to him about what you have chosen.

We still haven't finalized our decision, but we are currently leaning toward moving to a certain state and crossing our fingers I get a certain job that I have worked so hard to get.

In between all of that, we bought a car this week. We knew it was time to get something reliable, despite our love for the Geo. (Dev's not excited about it being a Saturn, but is excited about the low miles, good price, and perfect condition)

We also just sold our apartment contract and have 3 days to pack, move, and figure out where we will live (which is giving me serious anxiety). I am soo sad to be leaving our first home- where we spent our first 2 1/2 years of marriage together.

I did it! What a great feeling...reflecting on my past 4 years at BYU-I, I feel so blessed and grateful for my family and friends and everything I have taken from my experiences here.

I was most excited to give this guy a huge hug. Love him with all my heart.

After all the ceremonies we had a desert party. All of my extended family came, along with some close friends and we ate all of my favorite deserts!

This past weekend we went with our friends to hike R mountain, shooting, and have a bonfire. We got really sweaty and way too many bug bites.

Love these hot days we have been having! I haven't been documenting enough but we have been trying to cram in lots of fun summer activities when we actually find time....or just procrastinate on the homework and play anyway.

I wanted to share/brag a little about Dev. He is minoring in web development and totally excels in every one of his classes. He was asked twice to be a tutor for the school and is always getting recognized in his classes. He is very passionate about it and I hope he finds work where he can implement these skills.

Recently he created some Cinemagraphs. You may have seen them also created by photographer Jamie Beck. We are working on creating some cooler ones but check these out for now.

Do college grads make announcements? I'm not sure but I made a quick little cheesy one for all my friends and family invited to the graduation and dessert party I'm having afterward.

I just can't believe this is my last full week of school. I have been doing quite a few interviews and the process is still not complete. Dev and I have some big decisions to make in the next little while..I wish we could just enjoy the summer and go on vacas but figuring life plans are much more important at this point. I know that God will direct our paths with lots of prayer and faith!!

(I should specify that Dev is also done with all of his college classes this coming week, but needs an internship to fully graduate. He will walk in December. So for now we are hunting for internships for him as I job hunt)

This 4th of July weekend was a much needed rest from our busy lives. We went swimming, had bbq's, spent time with friends, played games, and ate a lot of good food. It has been in the 90's here and we are loving it.
On the 4th we went to my aunts for a big party. After we went to watch the big firework show and then came back and had our own little show. Dev is like a little kid when it comes to blowing stuff up.
(my aunt made that, for real! It was delish)

Do we look alike? I don't think so..but some of my family does.

The place where we went to watch the fireworks had lots of little food vendors. My mom and I had to go out to find the best ones. We loved the Navajo tacos and the berry funnel cake.

Dev got some awesome shots of the fireworks. We were right underneath them and you could feel your body shake when each one went off. Can you imagine his excitement?

We are so grateful for our freedoms and feel so blessed to live in this country!!

Thank you for the EXCEPTIONAL education. Where teachers made an effort to know my name in every class and personally wanted me to succeed. Thank you for providing me with a beautiful campus where the spirit can be felt. Thank you for the unforgettable friendships that I made, where life long friends will continue to bring happiness to my life. Thank you for allowing me support, and love through some of the most life changing experiences I have had thus far. Thank you for the tithing dollars and scholarship money that allowed me to have an even greater experience. Thank you for allowing my husband and I's relationship to blossom, and where we spent our first 2 years of marriage and our first home together.

In just 3 weeks Dev and I will be done with school! It really is a bitter sweet feeling for me.
I have loved my experience here. It truly has changed me and I am thankful for my education and how much I have grown. I LOVE BYU-I!!!

It was a perfect way to end our last semester in Rexburg. Last summer we won the softball championship and today we won our last championship. The winners always get championship t-shirts and we were so excited to get another one!

One thing we realized....our kids are in for a treat. Dev and I get a little too competitive and sassy when we get on the field.
We have loved playing with our friends over the last 2 years and we are going to miss our weekly games. Love you guys!

This past weekend we rushed to SLC for yet another wedding. This time for Devin's cousin Emily, who I actually don't know that well. She looked beautiful and the luncheon was also very lovely.
I actually was sick all day on Saturday...I wasn't sure if it was the hours in the car with no AC or the Mexican food we had the night before but I felt nauseous all day.
I can't believe it, but we took hardley any photos!

The Hunt

I just wanted to chat a little about what we have been doing lately, and that is job hunting. I will be graduated the end of July and Dev will need an internship and then be graduated as well. I didn't realize how stressful it would be to job hunt for two people- we are looking all over the U.S. and if one person finds something in one state the other may have to start looking there.

I am excited for this next step in our lives but a little uneasy about how everything will end up in just a few short months. I have a few jobs I am really looking into and even have my first job interview over the phone next week.

I will keep you posted. In the mean time, anyone have any words of advice or encouragement?? Would love all and any!

Ever been to a murder mystery dinner? This weekend Dev and I went to our first and it was completely legit. We were sent invites a few weeks prior, telling us who our characters were and how we were supposed to dress up.

Joanna from A Cup Of Jo inspired the Mother's Day gifts I got for our moms this year. Pinhole Press creates photo gifts. I was impressed with their products because they weren't those cheesy cheapy sites, everything looked so high quality. I decided to get our moms little note pads personalized with pictures.
Here are a few pictures of the one for Devin's mom.
I had her send me a picture of her boys when they were little to put on the cover.

And then on every page in the note pad, a picture of their family on our wedding day. Also on the top of every page says 'The Crandalls'

One year for Christmas when I was in my teens, my mom gave my sister and I each a box. Enclosed a ruby ring for both of us to wear.

As we began to put on the rings, my mom explained to us the symbolism behind her giving each of us a ruby ring.

"She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. I learned a very valuable lesson that day. Every daughter of God is more precious than rubies. I am thankful for a mom who loves me unconditionally, teaches me valuable lessons, and reminds me that I am loved and worth so much more then I will ever know.

...this weekend Dev and I went to my cousin Allie's baptism. In my church you are baptized at age 8- the age of accountability, where you can chose to be baptized and also know right from wrong. Of course you can always be baptized if you convert later in life as well.

She was baptized by her dad at the church and then a YUMMY lunch was held after.

One of my aunts brought mini cupcakes from the Cocoa Bean. They were DELISH!

My sister Emma, Allie, and my other cousin Olivia. I love that these 3 love each other so much. So fun to have cousins the same age.

Wow let me tell you, it has been BUSY around here. We are hardly ever at home with this new semester starting.
Dev and I found some time earlier in the week to go on a quick date to Twizl Berry...not worth the money folks, their yogurt is nothing compared to Red Mango in Seattle.

1. Fridays are a RELIEF! I can take a day off from homework, hang with friends, and stay up late!
2. Love notes, flowers on my table, phone calls from friends,shopping make me terribly happy.

3. Something that inspires me is the temple.

4. If I had the day off today I would Deep Clean my house, still be in my pjs, hang with Jamie and Lisa who just moved into our apts!

5. If I had to put a label on my home decor style, I would say my style is I could not even tell you right now. I am a poor college student. I have A LOT of ideas of how we will decorate our home when we leave here. I love modern, classic, vintage, warm, homey! This probably doesn't really explain my style at all...

6. Concerning politics I would say I'm moderate. Not one for talking about politics very often. It only starts arguments!

7. I'd like to go to New York so I could Feel the exciting NY vibe, do some serious shopping, meet Sarah finally!

It was a very special weekend for me. Lisa my friend for manyyy years married the SWEETEST man and Tongan may I add. Their love is so evident and they were radiating the whole day. One of the most fun weddings I have ever been to. Here is the first batch of photos and more to come!

This week has been a little sad for us. Two couples who have become some of our closest friends the past two years have graduated and are moving at the end of the week.

It really got me thinking about transitions that eventually must happen and how they shape and mold us into better people. It is always difficult to experience change but it most always is a good thing. I went out to lunch with Caden Emily and Kelsi today as our last little girls time. And Dev golfed with Jeff and Joe.

I know I will be so sad to see Caden and Kelsi leave but know that they will be life long friends because of the bond we have created. In just three months we will be moving on too...can't believe it's almost time for us to make our own transition.

summer please?

I have been a little absent on the blog this week. Internships wise, school wise, work wise, future career wise I have been busy. I'm really trying to look at all my options and take advantage of great opportunities. Dev finally finished his finals. We have lots of fun plans in the week ahead. I will be sure to share! Happy Friday!

1. Something that makes me a great friend is, I will be there whenever you need. You can alwayssss rely on me to be there for anything and any time!

2. I am stubborn, sassy, loud, boney

3. I am not good at sharing..I know it's a terrible trait I've had since birth, even ask my mom.

4. If I had to describe myself in 3 words, they would be friendly, opinionated, motivated

5. Something I'm really cheap about is Jewelry. Almost every piece of jewelry I own has been gifted, vintage from my Great Grams (I need to share with you some of her great pieces I own), or super cheap.

6. Something I'm willing to splurge on is Any classic piece that will be used many times and is timeless.

7. I would trade My paleness for a sexy tan in a heartbeat.

As I watched conference this weekend I was inspired by a quote I heard.

"Desire influences who we become"

Dev and I have family night every Monday. Tonight I made each of us a little paper with the quote from conference on top. We talked about what this quote meant to each of us and then we wrote down our desires and talked about how those desires will influence who we become.

It was interesting to analyze what my desires have been, what they are now, and how all of it influences who I am becoming.

Saturday my mom and baby sister came by to say hi. (my mom recently moved to Idaho from Seattle to be closer to her family) Our friends Kelsi and Jeff have a baby, Addison. My family adores her so we invited her over to play.
Did you know I have a sister who is 13 years younger than me? My sister Kate and I are 18 months apart and then Emma came when I was in jr. high. We love her to pieces.

This weekend was also Conference, which I enjoyed sooo much. We got a group of friends together Sunday morning to watch it together and made a delish breakfast.

1. The best prank I ever pulled was I can't..I really really try. My two jokes are that I'm pregnant or that my car broke down...no one ever believes me.

2. The best prank ever pulled on me was My freshmen year a group of guy friends came into my roommates and I's apt. and turned every piece of furniture we had upside down, it actually really freaked us out because we were all in our rooms when they did it and had no idea they were doing it.

3. A day without saying I love you is a day wasted.

4. The most important things in life are People. NEVER stuff.

5. I dream of traveling to Europe with Dev, we will have a ball. Also one day having beautiful kids running around a home we own.

6. I dread Getting senioritous this last semester I have of college. I know I am gonna be a big fat complainer and lazy bones.

7. A discovery I made this week was That birds are burrowing in our window, or vents or something. I am freaked out and don't know how to get rid of them!

The sun came out and we decided to go outside and get some air after running errands.

I love this canal behind our apartment. It always show the signs of a new season!

We saw this sign...and I laughed out loud. Cat special? Am I the only one who thinks its weird/funny?

And we decided to get a pic of me with our trusty Geo. I can't wait to tell my kids about this car I've had since I was 16. And no it does not have AC, yes it's missing a hub cap and may have multiple dents. I hope it survives for at least a couple more years!

I made some mini pizzas for us today. You wanna know a little secret? Instead of making the dough, I use Rhode's Rolls. Just put the frozen little balls in the microwave for 30 sec. then just roll them out and you have your pizza dough ready!

I am also working on a little project with Brittany for Edelweiss. Excited to reveal once we are done!

cookie fail

On Sundays Dev always asks me to make him a treat. I saw these cookies on Martha Stewart and decided to give them a go tonight.

Martha shows them looking like this

And these things popped out of my oven. What the heck?

Total disappointment. Looks like plops of mud, or poop...I dunno. It's the worst cleaning up your kitchen after a cookie fail when the cookies don't turn out, no satisfaction.

And isn't that a look of disgust? Good thing he will still eat it even if it doesn't taste like Martha's

For our date night Dev and I went and flew our Barbie kite I picked up for $1 at Wal-mart. The wind was perfect.
