were off to a vacation
just a year ago devin and i were dating, and he brought me to crescent bar-an annual family get together at a little resort where spent a week with his extended family...

a year later were married and I'm on my way to round 2 at crescent bar! wish devin luck that he doesnt break any bones and me i don't have any seizers. i love to watch him wake board but i get a little nervous with all the insane tricks he does, and the last time i wake boarded at crescent bar i smacked my head on the water and blacked out.
we also last min. decided to go to seattle right after. we haven't been home since we got married. were hoping the good ol geo can make it there. and i'm praying i don't go shopping crazy and want to spend all our money. my little sister emma has no idea were coming, she is going to be so surprised.

summer weddings
This is Craig and his new wife Becca. We know Craig from school. Summer time is always full of weddings. I love weddings because you get to see the bride and groom just glowing because they are so happy, Devin loves weddings because they serve food... either way we love to go to weddings together.
One wedding down 3 more to go for us this summer, one being Devin's best friend. Can't wait!

grilled hawaiian chicken pineapple sandwiches
i swear im not turning into an old lady... BUT i have another recipe, we LOVE IT.
6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - pounded to 1/4 inch thickness
1 cup Hawaiian style marinade
6 pineapple rings
6 slices provolone cheese
6 onion rolls, split
6 tablespoons thousand island salad dressing
6 leaves romaine lettuce
6 slices tomato
Place the chicken pieces into a large resealable bag and pour in the marinade. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
Preheat a grill for medium-high heat. When hot, lightly oil the grate. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
Grill the chicken pieces until cooked through, about 10 minutes, turning once. 5 minutes before they are done, place the pineapple rings on the grill and cook for a couple of minutes per side. Place the pineapple slices on top of the pieces of chicken and top with a slice of cheese. Close the lid to the grill and allow the cheese to melt for a minute. Toast the buns, if desired.
To assemble the sandwiches, place the chicken, pineapple and cheese onto the bottom buns. Top with lettuce and tomato. Spread the thousand island dressing onto the top buns and place onto the sandwiches.
EASY!! and SO GOOD. we loved it.
sIde NOTe: done with school, done with work, all of our friends have left rexburg. we are the only ones left (until we go on vacation too) its a little sad and empty but we just inherited all of their food since everyone left. good thing we have food storage now.

iraq
My uncle Heber was recently called from the reserves to go to Iraq for one year. He is leaving behind my aunt and two little cousins. I was so surprised to hear that today this picture was on the front page of the Salt Lake Tribune. He left yesterday. We love you Heber and miss you already, see you in a year.

another hair cut
My good friend morgan came into town this weekend. Devin and I both got bad hair cuts recently so she gave us a little clean up, except i took off another 6 inches... thats what happens when you have all your girl friends over at the same time. It's so different but Devin likes it, thats all that matters right? Thanks Morgie we love you.

part 2 and sad its over
This was by far the best 4th. my mom's whole side of the family came to town and we had a huge party at my grandparents house over the weekend. I loved every minute. Big family get togethers always remind me how much I love my family. I think Dev and I gained 80 pounds from all the good food. I didn't get pictures of everyone because I was having too much fun...
First I had to post these beauties from my grandma's yard that she let me have for my home. I love fresh flowers sitting on a table it reminds me of my house growing up.
