fall dinners

My mom got me a way good recipe book her friend megan and her picked up in california called Sue's favorites. I found a dish that fit perfectly with this fall.
Cranberry chicken. It is divine! Try it for yourself.

INGREDIENTS:
4 chicken breasts
1/2 c onions
1/2 c celery
1 can cranberry sauce
1 c bbq sauce

DIRECTIONS:
Cook chicken in frying pay until browned
Then still in 9x13 inch pan
saute onions and celery
pour over chicken
then add your cranberry sauce and bbq mixed together
bake at 350 for 45 min.

pumkins

We love this time of year because there are always so many fun things to do over the weekends. This last weekend we carved pumpkins with mike jess and ali and david.

Last halloween we decided to be victoria and david beckham and then i decided i didnt want to be a diva all night and switched to mia hamm. This year we don't know what to be! You will just have to wait for the pictures next week to find out what we chose.

I asked kristen to take some pictures of dev and I to give some variety of pictures up in our apt. She caught a lot of our goof ball moments and best of all how much we love each other. There are so many great ones i cant wait to print them. She is sending me a cd with all the great pictures so I will post those when they come! Thanks kristen we loved them. rett syndrome event

My aunt's family friends have the sweetest daughter lauren who has rett syndrome. this weekend they put on a huge charity event to help raise awareness and money for a cure! they encouraged everyone to where all purple to represent retts. there was a contest to see who could be the most purple and win a prize. we brought along our married friends again and had so much fun being funny in all our purple. by the way...i won best dressed which im glad paid off for how ridiculous i looked. i had multiple little kids coming up to me thinking i was barney. devin found my costume and told me i had to wear it so we could win.

this friday we went to a haunted corn maze and then invited some of our married friends over for carmel apples and then a long INTENSE game of catch phrase. we have so much fun with these couples.they crack us up.

fall

i have been a horrible blogger lately. I noticed that I am horrible at bringing my camera to anything that we do. i gotta work on that though so i will still have readers. ANYWAYY.
I am a little sad I am not at home in Sammamish for the fall. The leaves on all the trees are absolutely beautiful, also lets just admit it... the ladies in sammamish know how to put on some outrageous parties...( including the amazing bridal shower they threw for me last year! ha) and for fall they always have something going on.
There are so many fun deserts to make in the fall. Dev and I have been putting my kitchen aid to good use: carmel corn, pumpkin pie (which I am impressed with my husbands baking skills), and down below pumpkin chocolate chip cookies which have been my favorite so far.

CAN'T WAIT

so so excited for WEDNESDAY AT 4. On the right hand side of my blog I have one of my favorite sites that I go to daily. Stephanie Nielson or nieniedialogs is famous in the blogging world. Last year her and her husband were in a plane crash and her body was almost completely burned. She is one of great great inspiration to me, I admire her in so many many ways.
